Spring accelerates

We have been very busy this last week or so planting our vegetable garden. It hasn't received as much publicity as the kitchen garden at the White House. I am very new to growing my own food in the garden and was hit by a caterpillar plague last year so have just netted all the cabbages, cauliflower and broccoli this year.

I have also been watching the programme on Gardeners World about setting up a fruit and vegetable garden. Check out the Dig In campaign.

Getting raised beds ready

We have spent the last few weeks getting our raised beds ready and planting them with a range of fruit and vegetables. We will keep you posted on developments!

The damsons, apples and tree nuts are all growing well - i'm looking forward to fruit crumble!
